I'm worried about losing everything moving providers.

Website migration without losing a thing

Websites, whole servers, or cloud infrastructure between providers — switched with zero drama on a documented, tested process backed by a whole team, not one person copying files and crossing their fingers.

What's included

Full backup before we touch anything

Nothing moves until there’s a verified, restorable backup of what you have now.

Documented, repeatable process

Not a one-off script — a real process, the same way every time.

Downtime kept to a minimum

Planned and communicated, not a surprise outage.

Why SupportGeek

Real redundancy behind the relationship. Backed by a team and a documented process, so nothing depends on one person being available.

Questions people actually ask

What happens if something breaks during the move?
We catch most things before you notice, because monitoring and backups are the baseline, not an add-on. If something does break, you talk to a person who already knows your setup — not a new agent starting from scratch.
Why not just use GoDaddy or Bluehost?
You can, and it'll be cheaper on paper. What you're giving up is a relationship: when something breaks, you're in a queue, not talking to someone who knows your site. That trade-off is fine for some businesses. It's not what we sell.

What we move — and how

Websites, whole servers, or cloud infrastructure between providers. Different jobs, same careful process behind each one.

WordPress & CMS sites

Files, database, themes, plugins, media, and URL redirects — moved as one intact site, not reassembled by hand. We stand it up on a staging URL, check it end to end, then switch DNS so visitors never see a broken page.

  • Full DB + files copy
  • Plugins & theme intact
  • Redirects preserved
  • Staging test first

Local or legacy → cloud

A site or app running on your own machine, a dusty office box, or an ageing server — moved onto a proper managed server with the right runtime, environment variables, SSL, and backups set up the way they should have been from the start.

  • Runtime matched
  • Env & secrets migrated
  • SSL configured
  • Backups from day one

Cloud infrastructure

Moving between providers — say AWS to Hetzner, or one VPS to another — including servers, databases, DNS, mail, and background jobs. Planned as a cutover with a tested rollback, so downtime is a few minutes, not a lost afternoon.

  • Servers & databases
  • DNS & mail
  • Cron & background jobs
  • Tested rollback plan

In every migration, whatever the type

  • A verified, restorable backup before anything moves
  • A staging copy tested before we touch your live site
  • DNS and SSL handled — no expired-certificate surprises
  • Post-move checks: links, forms, email, and search visibility
